Iraqi Client's Customised 30t Direct-Cooled Block Ice Machine Trial Operation Concludes Successfully
Recently, the trial operation of our company's customised 30-tonne direct-cooled block ice machine for an Iraqi client concluded successfully. All performance metrics met specifications, laying a solid foundation for subsequent shipment and deployment. The equipment features top-tier specifications, incorporating industry-leading Hanbell compressors for efficient and stable refrigeration, balancing low energy consumption with extended continuous operation capability. The ice mould employs aerospace-grade #6063 aluminium plates, with partition thicknesses as low as 11mm and freezing plates at 22mm – superior materials and robust construction effectively prevent deformation or damage under low-temperature, high-pressure conditions.
Structurally, the unit breaks from conventional manufacturing by employing a specialised ice mould assembly technique without welded joints, ensuring smooth ice release with reduced cycle times. Reinforced lead screw assemblies enhance load-bearing capacity, counteracting operational vibrations to guarantee stable, low-noise operation under heavy loads—safeguarding both production environments and equipment integrity.
The control system incorporates a Siemens PLC for intuitive operation, enabling fully automated, unattended ice production and release. Customisable automatic start/stop functions optimise energy management, while the independent electrical cabinet facilitates operation and future maintenance. Test production yields uniformly dense, well-formed ice blocks free from hollow cracks, suitable for diverse applications including seafood preservation, food processing, and high-temperature cooling.
